Federal Agency Preparing Surveys to Study Driver Fatigue, Asking for Comments Now Whether Its Surveys Hit the Mark

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published a notice regarding a proposed study of truck driver fatigue. In the future study, the agency will ask drivers and motor carriers to fill out surveys to gather information it believes is related to driver fatigue. But now, the agency is asking for public comment on whether the surveys it has drafted will gather the information that is relevant and useful to study driver fatigue.

The following is the agency’s chart listing the surveys and then a link where you may read the individual surveys.

You can read these surveys and other related materials here.

Submit your comments about whether these surveys will be useful here on or before November 14, 2022.

The agency Notice asking for comments can be found here.

The agency will seek participants for the driver fatigue study sometime in the future.
